Rebuilding onboarding as a capability environment.
The organization needed more than a better welcome. It needed new employees to understand the work, form the right relationships, and become effective without losing the judgment the business depended on.
The operating challenge
Growth and post-acquisition change had made the early employee experience uneven. Listening data showed that employees could complete onboarding activity without becoming fully integrated into the organization or clear about how to contribute.
What I led
An end-to-end redesign of onboarding and early integration, including employee journey architecture, listening analysis, manager accountability, communication, and the infrastructure required to make the experience measurable rather than ceremonial.
Documented outcomes
What it revealed
Onboarding is an early capability formation environment. The organization is already teaching people what judgment matters, whose knowledge counts, and how quickly they can become useful beyond the tasks on a checklist.
